Abernyte Community has been awarded £7112 to carry out improvements to the Glebe Millennium Walk.  This grant has been awarded by the Big Lottery Fund Breathing Places Campaign. Abernyte Community Company is very excited and pleased to receive this award and looks forward to working with the Heritage Group and wider community in planning and implementing the works. Volunteers are most welcome.   Watch their website for more details coming soon.

We are pleased to be promoting another path - Glen of Rait to Dalreichmoor via Shanry.  You can get details here.   This path can be combined with a walk on quiet roads through the Sidlaw hills returning past Evelick and Kilspindie to give a route that is over 6 miles long.

Microsoft v6 Mapping
All our mapping pages have been rewritten to incorporate the new v6 version of Microsoft Virtual Earth maps that are compatible with the Safari browser frequently used on the Apple Mac PC.  Click here to see details of all our maps.

Funding

The CoGG Paths Project got off to a flying start with two grants from the Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust and Awards for All, Scotland.  Details of the grants and how they were to be used are to be found in the press release below.

This photograph was taken in the graveyard of Westown Chapel, a scheduled ancient monument.  Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust has recently pledged £10,000 toward preservation of the Chapel.  Additional funding is being sought to complete the task.
