Errol Station Link

Construction of the path from Errol village to Errol Station is now complete and the path is being well used.  A small problem appears to be damage to the verges from rabbits or horses.  Path users are asked to help with maintenance by tramping in holes.  A formal opening ceremony will follow later  this summer.  The project is being funded by the Scottish Government & the European Community Rural Tayside LEADER 2007-2013 Programme, Perth & Kinross Countryside Trust, Perth & Kinross Quality of Life Trust and COGG.

Ballindean - projects

Work on the route linking Wester Ballindean to the Kinnaird/Abernyte road began in June (2007) and apart from some minor items was completed by early July.   Signs have now been installed.

The route goes up the hill behind Wester Ballindean, following a disused path between two fields, then proceeds along the field margin and the edge of a wood plantation.

See below the stages in creating this path.

From here there are superb views of the Tay valley and across to Fife.  On a clear day you can see as far as Dundee and the Tay bridges in the east, and to Errol and beyond in the southwest.

The final stage! Testing the gate and views to the southwest.
